Centralized Outreach Committee
Mission: To develop a plan where information about employment for people with disabilities will be available and marketed to businesses, people with disabilities, disability organizations, etc.
Projects: The Centralized Outreach Committee has been hosting workshops in the community targeted toward people with disabilities interested in learning more about how working affects disability benefits: Disability Benefits & Employment: Make it Work for You! As these free workshops are made available, event details and registration information for them can be found on our Events page.
The Centralized Outreach Committee is currently working on informational materials and videos regarding disability disclosure in the workplace that providers can use to guide individuals through this important employment decision.
Each year, the Centralized Outreach is responsible for coordinating outreach materials that celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). NDEAM is an opportunity for communities to celebrate the diversity that people with disabilities bring to the workplace. NDEAM also highlights the advocacy needed to break employment barriers for people with disabilities. If you would like to know more about how this committee can support you, your agency or your community in taking part in NDEAM, please contact Sandy Jordan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
